How 31 Nights of Screams works
- Confess your taste. Pick the kinds of horror you like, how much your household can take, and which decades you want. Rule out an era and nothing from it gets in.
- Get your month. Thirty-one films, one for every night of October, climbing toward Halloween. Shorter films on school nights, the heavy ones on weekends. Swap any night you do not like.
- Survive and rate. Mark each night survived and rate the film in halos, one to five. Seven nights makes you a Novice. Thirty-one makes you a Saint.
- Show it. Turn your month into a poster for Stories or the feed and tag @screamingsaints. Send your link to a friend and they can take your month as a dare.

What is 31 Nights of Screams?
A horror film for every night of October. Tell us what kinds of horror you like and how much your household can take, and you get a 31 night calendar that climbs toward Halloween. It is made by Screaming Saints, and it is how our own house spends October.
Is it free? Do I need an account?
It is free and there is no account. Your month is saved on the device you built it on.
How are the films picked?
From a library of 350 horror films, from the 1920s to now. Each one is tagged by kind and rated from 1 to 5 for how hard it hits. Your month is built from your answers: shorter films on school nights, heavier ones on weekends, no director twice, and the heaviest film saved for Halloween night. Release years were checked against a public film database.
I have already seen one of them. Can I change it?
Yes. Every night has a Swap button that replaces just that film and leaves the rest of your month alone. You can also tick Skip the ones everybody has seen before you build.
Where can I watch the films?
Each night links to a JustWatch search for that film, which shows where it is streaming, renting or free where you live. Streaming catalogs change every week, so we do not list services ourselves.
Is the Cozy level safe for kids?
A Cozy month only uses films we rate 1 or 2 out of 5: spooky, not scarring. That rating is our judgment and not an official one, so check each film's own rating before you press play with younger kids.
What are halos and ranks?
Mark a night as survived and you can rate the film from one to five halos. Nights survived earn your rank: everyone starts a Sinner, 7 nights makes you a Novice, 13 Devout, 21 a Martyr, and all 31 makes you a Saint.
Can I move my month to another phone?
Use Copy my link and open it on the other device. The link carries your 31 films. It does not carry which nights you have ticked off, because nothing about you is stored on our side.
